Band Program

At our school, we believe that music education is a vital part of a well-rounded education. Our band program provides students with the chance to explore music, develop their talent and skills, and create a sense of community through music-making.

We offer a comprehensive band program for students 6th grade – 12th grade, from beginner to symphonic to jazz. Our program includes:

Beginning Band

For students who have little to no experience playing an instrument.

Intermediate Band

For young musicians who have demonstrated proficiency on their instrument

Concert Band

For musicians who have displayed advanced proficiency on their instrument

Symphonic Band

For the most advanced instrumental musicians.

Marching Band

The Conquerors Marching Band is open by audition to all TCA students. Rehearsals are held outside of school during the football season. In addition to cheering on the championship winning football team, the Conquerors Marching Band regularly competes in both the Florida Marching Band Coalition (FMBC) competitions and Florida Bandmasters Association (FBA) Music Performance Assessments. The group has received numerous awards at local competitions and placed as high as 2nd in the state marching tournament.

Jazz Band

The Jazz Band meets after school during the spring and performs at the Spring Concert in May.

In addition to our band classes, we offer several performance opportunities throughout the year, including concerts, the homecoming parade, and competitions.

Our experienced and dedicated band director provide personalized instruction and support to each student in our program. We are committed to fostering a love of music and helping our students reach their full potential as musicians.

We believe that music education is not just about learning to play an instrument, but also about developing important life skills such as discipline, teamwork, and creativity. We are proud of the well-rounded and talented individuals that emerge from our band program.

Tyler Hardison

Band Director

Mr. Hardison has been married to his wife Holly since 2021. They enjoy working in marching bands together, which is how they met, and going on adventures across the country. Mr Hardison loves growing lifelong musicians who understand that God’s creativity is shown through every student and the talents that He has blessed them with.

Clayton Barnett

Percussion Coach

Clayton Barnett is graduate of Trinity Christian Academy and a former member of the marching and symphonic band. He is an accomplished drummer on battery percussion and drum set and also sings and plays guitar. He currently is the worship leader for the youth group at Trinity Baptist Church.

Ms. Tidmore

Color Guard instructor

Ms. Tidmore is the color guard instructor for the Conquerors Marching Band.
